MLPBMH Chapter 28

10 Gold Life (3)

The break was over early. But no one complained.

“The next day, the slaves you purchased will be…..” She heard the host stutter as he explained the rules again, but no one focused on his words.

There were a few families who had the wealth to call 10000 gold without a worry, so they swallowed their saliva and listed the list of nobles in their memory.

“It’s nice to be quiet.” Beth put down the sign she was holding in her hand and drank the wine left in the glass.

It was funny to see the host struggle without knowing what to do.

“I have to go now.”

Beth pulled the rope on her left. The sound of someone’s bell rang and the employees hurriedly called the manager as they knew that she was the one who had previously said she would pay 10000 gold.

The manager who was on the stage asked the guests to wait for a while and went down the stage.

The manager, who knew that Beth was the one who bought the little child, sent the employee again, and urged him to go quickly and listen to whatever she asked for.

The rope was pulled again. The manager became pale, and the employee turned white as if he had lost all his blood. He ran to the place where Beth was –  probably the fastest he ran he was born.

He did not forget to slow down his breathing in front of the door or else it would be unpleasant if he was breathing loudly.

As he opened the door carefully, he saw the woman’s back still looked towards her hall. She apparently knew he had come in, but the woman didn’t turn her back nor make contact with her eyes, and her overbearing aura was thick. The employee could not swallow and approached carefully.

“Guest, you called.”

“Yes, I called.”

Then she got up, folded her arms, and stood stiffly looking at her staff.

“By the way, I never told you that you can come in.”

“Yes?”

“Yes? And why are the people below arguing at me? I don’t understand.”

“I, I’m sorry.”

“I have to tell everyone out there that there is a huge auction house that doesn’t have basic decency.”

Beth had no outsiders. Although she has a precious, small, cute and lovely girl names Claire.

“It’s very late too. Do you think I have a lot of time?”

“I’m sorry.”

However, an employee who did not know it had no choice but to bow his head to the point where his head touched the floor, and the presumed lady was from a family that the manager could not dare to look at.

Thinking that it may be the wife of the one who controls the back alley government, the employee even imagined his body and head got separated and swallowed his saliva.

Beth sighed and said. “Raise your head, I did tell you I’ll slit your throat if someone sees me.”

“Yes!”

As he lifted his head, a woman with a small, modest beauty looked at him with a look that she said that she had nothing to do with it.

She didn’t have a flashy appearance or a dark one, but as he looked at her, the light of her eyes sank the atmosphere of the room, he tried to smoothen his trembling and asked, “Do, do you need anything?”

“Guide me to the room where the slaves are.”

“Y….”

“If you ask ‘yes’ again, I will pull out your tongue and decorate it on the wall.”

Beth thought that she is more talented in acting than she thought. In her previous life, she died while doing part-time jobs with this natural talent.

“I spent 10000 gold here, and I can’t even do that? I have to check if there is any defect in the product.”

“Y, yes! Follow me! I will guide you!”

In the first place, the manager told him to listen to this customer’s request, so he had no veto. He squeezed his shaking legs and, as far as possible, he walked, and tried not to show that he was scared.

You’re scared. But he was already caught by Beth.

As she entered the way led by the staff, she saw a room at the end of the corridor that led from the back of the stage. The whole wall of a very large room was blocked by iron bars like a prison. All slaves of different ages and genders were trapped inside.

Some were angry, others were frustrated, others begged, others were resigned.

Only one of them was laughing.

Kedrick.

Kedrick soothed the cries of the younger slaves as he whispered several funny or hopeful stories in a small voice so the watchman couldn’t hear them.

Is there anything that could hurt that human?

He told funny stories to the children who were frightened with an expression that screamed of calm and nonchalance. The sobbing children one by one were increasingly focused on his conversation. When Beth saw that he was okay, she was strangely relieved.

There was only one child in the group who looked at him with vigilance. It was the child Beth was looking for.

“Take out the child I bought and show it to me.”

“Y, yes!”

The staff explained to the watchman to take out the little child, and he nodded and opened the door of the iron bars.

The key is in his waist.

Beth narrowed her eyes to look at the scene and looked around.  Although it’s large, there is only one guard. There is a back door, but there are probably two or three people who guarded the back door. Some guarded the hallway, but that’s none of Beth’s business.

Before long, a child with no energy was led by a rough hand and eventually stood in front of her. Beth deliberately looked down at the child, taking into account the eyes of the people around her now.

“Are there any wounds?”

“Yes! We never sell defective products!”

“Okay.”

Aiden, the little boy, stared as if he wanted to kill Beth. He would have been able to squeeze Beth’s slender neck if not for the heavy handcuffs holding him back.

Beth smiled, feeling for the child. She then told the employee, “I have something to talk with this kid so wait outside the door.”

“Yes!”

The employee from his previous experience knew that she hated him asking a question in response to her. He went out quickly and wondered what Beth would have to say.

“Is there a chair?”

“Oh, there’s a sofa over there, guest.”

As the watchman pointed to the sofa, Beth turned around and sat in a single-seat wooden chair.

Beth beckoned to Aiden.

“Come here.”

“…..”

Aiden looked at Beth with his lively eyes but did not come a step closer.

“Hurry.”

The watchdog looked at Aiden cruelly. As he feared that he would be hit as badly as when he was caught trying to run away in the past, Aiden approached Beth with hesitance in his gait.

Beth grabbed Aiden’s arms lightly, then she looked straight into his eyes. He had green eyes like Beth, but with subtly different colors.

Even at a young age, if she looked closely, she saw a child with a beautiful appearance and was once again convinced that he was Aiden.

So much loveliness that she was confused on whether he is a woman or a man. That was Aiden’s appearance in the novel.

And, originally, the second male lead who would meet Cecil.

“Are you Aiden?”

“…..?”

It was the name that no one called even when he lived in the back alley – it was a name that he used and called alone. When Beth called the name that no one knew, Aiden opened his eyes wide and looked at her in amazement.

“I came to save you.”

“Lies.”

“You’ll see if it’s a lie or not.”

Aiden looked at Beth with suspicious eyes. “You are skinny, what kind of woman looks weaker than me.”

“You’re so stupid because it is never like that.”

After the growth she saw in the novel, he became very smart, but Beth thought and said, “Wh…!” Aiden was furious and tried to resist.

“Strong power solves the moment,” Beth gave the little boy the smile she gave to Claire, ” but Wise wisdom will solve your life, or whatever.”

Actually, it wasn’t wisdom…. Beth has not done these things with mere wisdom, but this place was also a part of the novel.

She didn’t know the exact date, but she was lucky.

The date wasn’t in the novel, so she didn’t know exactly when it happened, but she knew what was going to happen after this process. That’s why Beth was able to do all this.

Beth didn’t know she had such a good memory.  She can remember every line in the novel.

Beth said that and instructed Aiden not to leave her side.

Aiden looked at Beth with a suspicious face, but he clung to Beth’s frame.

Slowly, it will work.

Originally, Aiden’s auction didn’t end very quickly. The auction at the break was a section where a slave was bought at a bargain price and was ridiculed and played with.

Beth ended the auction with 10,000 gold, which she didn’t actually own, and there was time left for that margin. It would have been nice if she could have known the exact time, but such unnecessary settings are not written in the novel. Beth regretted that. It is very necessary at this moment.

If I do this wrong, the plan will be messed up, Beth has never been wrong with her plans, and now she has a little dilemma about what to do.

Then, Gwang !!!!!!!!!!!!!! A loud roar rang out. While everyone was surprised, Beth smiled.

“What, what!”

The slaves trapped inside the cage cried and raged. Some people cried as they asked if they were going to die like this, and some muttered that it was better to die than to live as a slave.

Only one of them didn’t change his face, Kedrick.

Aiden also opened his eyes wide at the sudden roar and the man who watched the slaves cage was surprised and ran to the door where the explosion sound was heard.

The door to the hall was crushed and did not open. The watchman was confused and tried to open the door. When one saw the cluttered back door, it seemed that they ran to see if the nobles were safe, rather than the slaves.

Because the explosion was heard in the hall where the auction was held.

They were rebels.

They were a group of people who had rebelled against the country, whatever their dissatisfaction to the country was and some of them had kidnapped Cecil. Aiden was originally supposed to be in the middle of that explosion and had to run alone in the midst of a fuss.

But not now. Beth saved him.

Using the original story, Beth’s theory was to use everything that was available.

All the people involved and the nobles died, but the slaves either died or joined the revolutionary army.

Beth got up from her seat.

“?”

Aiden, who was sitting down, hesitated, and looked up at Beth with a puzzled face.

Beth held his index finger to his mouth and told him to keep quiet. Aiden somehow got an ominous premonition and closed his mouth and nodded his head.

A giant man grabbed the doorknob and tried to shake it and knock it down.

However the door did not budge because it was made stronger than other doors.

In the first place, he had to go out through the back door, but when one was in trouble, they could not even think of a simple idea. Where the explosion was heard, a few more loud sounds were heard, then screams were heard from here and there.

And this space began to shake little by little.  People who felt anxious hugged each other and gathered in the corner.

Only Kedrick stood comfortably near the cage, with his hand in his pocket.

“Ah!”

The watchman, who shook and knocked the door back and forth, only remembered the noble lady in this room. She made it clear that if she wasn’t safe, they would be in trouble too.

He turned back in confusion.

Aiden, who was next to Beth, and the slaves who cried in the corner, looked at Beth with confused faces.

Kedrick looked at Beth with a funny face.

Beth smacked the giant man’s head with the chair she was sitting on without worrying at all.

Whack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very dull, loud, beautiful sound echoed through the slave chamber.

It was only Kedrick who burst out laughing when he saw the scene. “Whew.”

Beth put the chair she held down to the side and sighed. In technical terms, it was called a chair shot.
